Twenty years ago today, South African President F.W. de Klerk lifted a ban on the African National Congress (ANC) and promised to free Nelson Mandela from prison. Nine days later, South African ANC leader, political activist and anti-apartheid campaigner Nelson Mandela was set free after 27 years, inspiring one of the funniest badges ever.
