// Bantam Bikes Update //

Bantam Bikes, the independent, rider owned bicycle shop run by the Pimp My Bike boys has now been open a fortnight. The combination of bike shop and pub has proved to be a hit so far, with punters getting a while-you-wait service over a nice cold pint.

The multi-storey car park directly behind the shop has also proved invaluable for people turning up with bikes that aren’t in a fit state to ride (even if arriving by car means you have to stick to fizzy pop rather than proper booze).

The shop’s opening times are 5-9pm Tuesday to Saturday at The Bantam, 7 Abington Square, Northampton. Tonight is also when the Northampton Fixed Gear and Single Speed gang get together down there, so it’s starting to be a hub for all things bike related. If you’re a fan of bicycles (and beer) get down there and check it out!
